OVERVIEW OF PROGRAMS AND TRAINING

LEARN & IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH

The Education Fund provides you with three different ways to learn, practice, and improve your English. You can set your own schedule; and learn on your own time at home on your cell phone, computer, or tablet. We can also support you in an English as a Second Language class (ESL) at a local school if you want to earn college credit while you learn. You will be supported by one of our career counselors who will provide you advice and help you determine what your next steps are in your career as you increase your language skills. Learn more.

SKILL BUILDERS

These short-term trainings will enhance basic skills and knowledge so you can excel in your current position, advance to new positions, or “get your feet wet” with going back to school. Course length varies from one-day workshops to multi-week classes. Topics include basic and intermediate computer skills, Medical Terminology, CPR, and more. See upcoming classes.

STEP (SUCCESS THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PREPARATION)

STEP supports you through prerequisite classes at local community colleges to prepare you for entry into allied health or nursing training  programs. STEP classes include ESL, English, math, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, as well as psychology and medical  terminology. Education Fund counselors will support you throughout the semester and tutoring is available for many subjects. Learn more.
