Medical Terminology is an important component to almost every healthcare career, so the Education Fund offers THREE different options to help you improve your knowledge – and all of them are free! Pick the one that works best for you, your career goals & your schedule.
Need to pass a Medical Terminology test to apply for a new job? Or just want to improve your skills? A six-week online class in Medical Terminology is available to all Education Fund-eligible employees through the KP School of Allied Health Sciences. Expect about 4 hours of study time each week. Includes one year of access to the online study materials. Check back soon for the next application availability.
COLLEGE MED TERM
In Person or ONLINE* – Three-unit college classes in Medical Terminology are available through multiple community colleges in California and in the Northwest and Colorado. Offered twice a year in the fall and spring through the Education Fund STEP program. This semester-long class is a prerequisite for some healthcare training programs, and a good way to get started with going back to college. Tuition, books, fees, and career counseling support are included with the class.
Intro to Medical Terminology – Learn basic Medical Terminology over the course of three eight-hour days in an instructor-led class. If you don’t see an Intro to Medical Terminology class scheduled in your area, call 1-888-872-4606 and ask to talk to the Education Fund staff person for your facility. If there is sufficient interest in a class in your area, we will do our best to bring one to you!
