CAREER UPGRADE TRAINING PROGRAMS

The Education Fund offers Career Upgrade Training Programs that pave the way for career advance in hard-to-fill positions. Training programs are provided in partnership with local community colleges and other training providers. These programs are offered on a limited basis and are highly dependent on current and projected labor market demands. Eligibility criteria are determined in consultation with the participating union(s) and employer(s). Examples of training programs that are offered periodically are: Certified Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Assistant, Unit Assistant, Surgical Technician, Sterile Processing Technician and Medical Coder.
